Dr. Adam Bilodeau
PT, DPT, CSCS, CF-L1
Adam was born and raised in Bay City, MI (also known as the web space on the hand). He played multiple sports growing up, including soccer, baseball, track, and golf. His love for sports and fitness led him to pursue a degree in Exercise Science with a specialization in Health Fitness at Central Michigan University. While at CMU, he worked as a personal trainer, CrossFit coach, bartender, and Graduate Assistant for the Human Cadaver Lab. To complete his undergraduate degree, he decided to move to Columbia, South Carolina, where he interned at Vertex Performance Training to gain more knowledge in coaching and writing strength and conditioning programs. It was a perfect fit for him, and Adam knew that this was where he wanted to be. He subsequently applied to Physical Therapy school at the University of South Carolina.
During PT school, Adam has worked as a Strength Coach for Vertex, taking on clients ranging from high school athletes, CrossFitters, weekend warriors, to patients transitioning back into sports. He also serves as the Head Strength Coach for the Vertex Run Club, designing strength programs tailored to the specific needs of runners. Adam specializes in working with athletes and patients of all kinds, treating each individual with a personalized, holistic approach to ensure their overall health is addressed, not just their injury.
In his free time, Adam enjoys playing in local soccer leagues, running, hiking, working out, going to the beach, watching Detroit sports, and spending time with friends and family.

This is where she realized she loved working with people, not computers. Therefore, she pursued her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at UofSC and graduated in August 2021.
She is heavily involved in the local amateur adult soccer leagues and has played since she was six, which influences her interest in treating the soccer athlete and injury prevention/management. Throughout her career, she has found that she enjoys working with people of various physical backgrounds and showing the benefits of movement. Dr. Carly Holthausen
PT, DPT
My name is Carly Holthausen! I was born in a small town in New Jersey, but my family moved to South Carolina when I was young, so I grew up in Lexington and claim it as my hometown. I tried my hand at many sports growing up, but ultimately landed on soccer and running (the only ones I was pretty good at). My passion for PT came from growing up with my dad who suffered a spinal cord injury as a young adult. Over the years, he has been in and out of PT for lots of things related to his original injury. I graduated from Clemson University (don’t hate, Go Tigers) in 2016 with a BS in Health Science. I then moved to Charleston for PT school. I graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2020 as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I continued to play soccer while in school (shout out to Dr. Thavi who I met playing club at Clemson!), and fell in love with urban hiking in CHS and hiking in the mountains in the upstate.
I have a few years’ experience in the field now, and have realized helping people heal, no matter the setting, the injury, the background, fills my cup. So many people helped my dad through the toughest of times – I wanted to be that for others, and this field has given me that opportunity. I’m excited for this new chapter in my life and my career and I am excited to be part of the Vertex team!
In my free time, you can still find me trying to relive the glory days playing soccer in adult rec leagues, hiking in SC’s state parks, in the gym, or in a local coffee shop feeding my *boujee* coffee addiction!
